KOMPAN U.S. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bid & Proposal Editor to elevate the quality, clarity, and compliance of written proposal materials submitted in response to formal Requests for Proposal (RFPs) from organizations nationwide.
This role directly supports our mission to deliver innovative playground and outdoor fitness solutions to communities across the country. Reporting directly to the Bid & Proposal Manager, Bid & Proposal Editor will work closely with our Bid & Proposal Analysts on projects within our North American market.
The Bid & Proposal Editor plays an important role in ensuring the quality, clarity, and compliance of proposal submissions in response to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other formal solicitations. This role is responsible for editing, refining and enhancing proposal content to produce persuasive, accurate and customer‑focused deliverables.

What You’ll Do
Support Bid & Proposal Analysts by writing, editing, and packaging proposals
Tailoring standard content and writing new content as it relates to the requirements set by the customer in the RFPs
Ensure the proposal package has a consistent tone and structure based on the RFP requirements
Ensure timely [digital or physical] submission of proposals that are in full compliance with the RFPs
Maintain consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging within our digital libraries
Coordinating with the Marketing Department on any new company content
Provide support to cross-functional colleagues as needed
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to improve clarity, flow, and grammar
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign, and/or other equivalent applications for writing/editing/formatting proposals and presentations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to efficiently communicate through software applications and cloud-based platforms
Self-motivated, proactive, and organized to handle multiple proposals at once
Highly organized, methodical, and detail-focused
A team player with strong interpersonal skills - collaborative, accommodating, and a great listener
A background working with proposals, bids, RFP coordination, contracts, or similar is preferred but not required
Experience working in the playground or construction industry is preferred but not required
Experience working with education or public-sector customers is preferred but not required
Familiarity with AI systems and their application in writing or content development is preferred but not required
The ideal candidate is an attentive listener and an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing. They are highly organized, comfortable working under strict deadlines, and adaptable when faced with incomplete or technical source material. They are also someone with a sharp eye for detail who is collaborative, proactive, and driven to achieve results.
